Temario de Inglés y Ejercicios Complementarios Empty Re: Temario de Inglés y Ejercicios Complementarios

Mensaje por Gustavo Miér Dic 31, 2008 3:28 pm

    Unidad 4. El pronombre

    Sujeto y objeto

She has written to me (Ella me ha escrito)
We saw them yesterday (Nosotros les vimos ayer)

    * También se usa la forma objeto

    - en comparativos, después de than y as

She is shorter than me (Ella es más corta que yo)
She is tall as her (Ella es alta como ella)

    - después del verbo “to be”

Who is it? - It´s me. (¿Quien es?. – Soy yo.)

    - y sólo

Who is getting married? - Him (¿Quién se está casando? –Él)

    Posesivos

Give me my keys (adj.). They are mine (pron.) (Dame mis llaves. Son mías)
This is your paper. It´s yours. (Este es tu papel. Es el tuyo)
She sold me her dress. It was hers. (Ella me vendió su vestido. Era suyo –de ella)
This is our house. It is ours. (Esta es nuestra casa. Es la nuestra)
This is their dog. It is theirs.

This is mine. (Este es el mío / este es mio)

    Reflexivos

Has she hurt herself? (¿Se ha lastimado (ella)?)
I am angry with myself (Estoy enfadado conmigo)

    * También se usan para dar énfasis

Do it yourself! (Házlo tú mismo)
The king himself (El mismo Rey)

absent oneself (from) (ausente (de)), pride oneself (orgullo), help yourself (ayúdate tú mismo), make yourself at home (házlo en casa), behave yourself (compórtese).

sit down (sentarse); wake up (despertarse); get up (levantarse)
by myself … (a solas, sin compañía, sin ayuda)

I went on holiday by myself (Fui de vacaciones yo solo)

En acciones entre dos o más personas usamos los pronombres each other / one another (conocidos como nombres recíprocos). Veamos la diferencia:

I looked at myself and Tom looked at himself = We looked at ourselves

I looked at Tom and Tom looked at me = We looked at each other

They are thinking about themselves = Piensan en sí mismos
They are thinking about each other = Cada uno piensa en el otro

Pronombres interrogativos: which, what, who, whose

a.- Como determinantes (acompañando a un sustantivo) which y what se pueden emplear tanto para personas como para cosas.

Which teacher do you like best? (¿Qué profesor te gusta más?)
Which colour do you want –green or red?

What writers do you like best? (¿Qué escritores te gustan más?)
What colour are your eyes?

Ante otro determinante o pronombre se empleará which of

Which of them do you like best? (¿Cuál de ellos te gusta más?)

b.- Como pronombres para hacer referencia a las personas se empleará who y no which.

Who won –John or Smith? (¿Quién ganó, John o Smith?)
Which would you prefer –wine or beer? (¿Qué prefieres, vino o cerveza?)
What would you like to eat?

Who do you like best? (¿Quién te gusta más?)
Whom do you like best? (¿A quién le gustas más?)

    c.- whose (de quién)

Whose bag is that? (determinante) (¿De quién es ese bolso?)
Whose is this bag? (pronombre) (¿De quién es ese bolso?)

    Pronombres indefinidos

    COSAS Something Anything Everything Nothing
    PERSONAS Somebody
    Someone Anybody
    Anyone Everybody
    Everyone Nobody
    No one
    LUGARES Somewhere Anywhere Everywhere Nowhere

Someone is at the door . (Hay alguien en la puerta)
Everybody is at the party (Todos están en la fiesta)
Nobody is at the sea (No hay nadie en el mar)

Let´s go to somewhere else (Vayamos a cualquier otro sitio)

Everyone knows the answer (Todos conocen la respuesta)
Everybody eats as much as they want (Todos comen tanto como quieren)

    Demostrativos

    - This (este, esta, esto) / These (estos, estas)

This (determinante) car is mine ó This (pronombre) is my car

These books are mine ó These are my books

    - That (ese, esa, eso, aquel, aquella, aquello) / Those (esos, esas, aquellos, aquellas)

That house is mine ó That is my house

Those children are mine. Those are my children

    Algunos ejercicios:

Some people like football (A algunas personas les gusta el fútbol)
I like football (Me gusta el fútbol)
This car is red (Este coche es rojo)
That is my book (Ese es mi libro)
Whose car is yours? (¿Qué coche es el tuyo?)
Whose is this car? (¿De quién es ese coche?)

Unidad 5.

That is the dog´s basket (Esa es la cesta del perro)

The door of the house (La puerta de la casa)

The country´s population (Los habitantes del país)
The city´s churches (Las iglesias de la ciudad)

f.- Usamos ´s con ciertas expresiones idiomáticas de tiempo, espacio, distancia, medida, peso, etc…

Today´s meeting (La reunión de hoy)
A month´s rest (Un descanso mensual)
A week´s holiday (Unas vacaciones semanales)

This is my car and that is my brother´s (Este es mi coche y ese es el de mi hermano)

    Mira la diferencia:
Peter and Jane´s books (Peter and Jane son los dueños de los lilbros)
Peter´s and Jane´s books (Peter posee unos libros y Jane otros)

Temario de Inglés y Ejercicios Complementarios Empty Re: Temario de Inglés y Ejercicios Complementarios

Mensaje por Gustavo Miér Dic 31, 2008 3:39 pm

    Unidad 6.

My favourite records (Mis discos favoritos); Two clever women (Dos mujeres inteligentes)

    Posición de los adjetivos

1.- Hay dos lugares donde colocar los adjetivos:

a.- delante del sustantivo A big village (Un gran pueblo)
b.- después de verbos copulativos, como be, get, look, seem, feel, …

I am tall (Soy alto); I get hungry (Estoy hambriento)
It looks funny (Parece divertido); I feel good (Me siento bien)
    You seem nice (Pareces agradable)

My elder brother lives in London (Mi hermano mayor vive en Londres)
He is three years older than me (Él es tres años mayor que yo)

He looks ill (Él parece enfermo) He is a sick man (Él les un hombre enfermo)
Your mother is very well (Tu madre está muy bien) She is a very healthy woman (Ella es una mujer muy sana)
The baby is asleep (El bebé está dormido) He is a sleeping boy (Él es un niño dormido)

Two nice big fifty-years-old square brown English wooden sewing boxes.

The first three days (Los primeros tres días)
My last two jobs (Mis últimos dos trabajos)

The car keys (Las llaves del coche)

    boring bored (aburrirse)
    exciting excited (excitarse)
    surprising surprised (sorprenderse)
    confusing confused (confundirse)

My book is interesting I´m interested in the book
My job is boring I´m bored with my job
The result was surprising I was surprised by the result

    Comparativos y superlativos

more (más) (comparativo) more beautiful (más bonito)
most (el más) (superlativo) most beautiful (el más bonito)

    * Los acabados en –y cambian a –i y añadiremos –r o -st

    ugly (feo) uglier ugliest
    happpy (feliz) happier happiest

2.- Comparativos y superlativos dentro de una frase

a.- Usamos than en las comparaciones

I am older than you (Soy más viejo que tú)

b.- Usamos the delante de los superlativos

He is the happiest man (Él es el hombre más feliz)

He is the biggest of them (Él es el mas grande de ellos)
He is the biggest in the class (Él es el más grande de la clase)

    c.- Otras estructuras de comparativo:

    * as… as (comparativo de igualdad)

You are as nice as your mother (Eres tan agradable como tu madre)

En negativas podemos usar as…. as / so … as

He is not as clever as his brother (Él no es tan inteligente como su hermano)
He is not so clever as his brother

    * the same (as) (lo mismo que, igual que…)

Your bag is the same as mine (Tu bolso es igual que el mío)

    * less… than (menos que)

The film was less interesting I expected

I´m getting fatter and fatter (Me estoy poniendo cada vez más gordo)
Things are more and more expensive (Las cosas son cada vez más caras)

    The + comparativo + sujeto + verbo

The older I get, The happier I am (Cuanto más viejo me hago, más feliz me siento)
The colder the weather, The better I fell (Cuanto más freso es el tiempo, mejor me siento)

    USO

    - Have (got): posesión, relaciones de parentesco.

Have you got much money? (posesión) (¿Tienes mucho dinero?)
Has you got a car? (posesión) (¿Tienes un coche?)
I have got two sons (relaciones) (Tengo dos hijos)

I have got toothache (Tengo dolor de muelas)
I often have toothache (A menudo tengo dolor de muelas)

We haven´t got any beer today (No tomamos cerveza hoy)
We don´t often have beer in the house (No solemos tomar cerveza en la casa)

    - Have : acciones.

    Have breakfast / lunch / dinner / tea / a drink / coffee / a beer …

    Have a bath / a wash / a shower / a rest / a sleep / a dream …

Temario de Inglés y Ejercicios Complementarios Empty Re: Temario de Inglés y Ejercicios Complementarios

Mensaje por Gustavo Jue Ene 01, 2009 4:46 pm

Unidad 8. Presente simple y progresivo

    Afirmativa (verbo trabajar)

    I work
    You work
He / she / it works
    We work
    You work
    They work

    Negativa

    I do not (don´t) work
    You do not (don´t) work
He / she / it does not (doesn´t) work
    We do not (don´t) work
    You do not (don´t) work
    They do not (don´t) work

    Interrogativa

    Do I work?
    Do you work?
Does he / she / it work?
    Do we work?
    Do you work?
    Do they work?

I play football every day (Juego al fútbol todos los días)
She doesn´t teach English (Ella no enseña ingles)
Does he study French? (¿Estudia ingles?)

Tenemos que estudiar la tercera persona de singular, es decir he/she/it porque el resto de las formas es el infinitivo.

    * la mayoría de los verbos añaden -s

    like – likes work –works

finish – finishes kiss – kisses buzz – buzzes catch – catches
go – goes mix – mixes

    USO

    * acciones habituales: I wash my teeth every day (Me limpio los dientes todos los días)
    * situaciones permanentes: I live in Madrid (Vivo en Madrid)
Water boils at 100º (El agua hierve a 100º)
The sun rises in the East (El sol sale por el Este)
    * horarios The train leaves at 8,40 (El tren sale a las 8,40)

    * adverbios de frecuencia:

always (siempre), usually (usualmente, habitualmente), often (a menudo), sometimes (a veces), occasionally (ocasionalmente), hardly ever (apenas), never (nunca) …

Estos adverbios se colocan en este orden:
    - delante del verbo principal: I always get un at 7 o´clock (Siempre me levanto a las 7 en punto)
    - detrás del verbo to be: I am always happy (Siempre estoy feliz)
    - con tiempos compuestos, detrás del primer auxiliar:
I have never been there (Nunca he estado allí)

    * expresiones de frecuencia:

Once a day (Una vez al día)
Twice a week (Dos veces por semana)
Three times a month (Tres veces al mes)
Every day a month (Cada día del mes)

I go to the dentist once a year (Voy al dentista una vez al año)
Every month she visits her grandmother (Ella visita a su abuela todos los meses)

    Presente progresivo

Este tiempo se forma con el presente del verbo to be + -ing del verbo principal.

    Afirmativa

    I am working
    You are working
    He /she/it is working
    We are working
    You are working
    They are working

    Negativa

    I am not working
    You are not working
    He/she/it is not working
    We are not working
    You are not working
    They are not working

    Interrogativa

    Am I working?
    Are you working?
    Is he/she/it working?
    Are we working?
    Are you working?
    Are they working?

    I am working (Yo trabajo)
He is not dancing (Él no baila)
Is she painting? (¿Está ella pintando?)

    * Respuesta corta: Are you working?: Yes, I am ó No, I am not.

    work working

    stop stopping get getting

Shut up! I am working (¡Lárgate! Estoy trabajando)

I´m reading an interesting book (Estoy leyendo un libro interesante)
A friend of mine is building his own house (Un amigo mío se está construyendo su propia casa)
Is Peter working this week? No, he´s on holiday (¿Trabaja Peter esta semana?. No, está de vacaciones)
Sarah wants to work in Germany, so she is learning German.

We are playing a football match this evening (Vamos a jugar un partido de fútbol esta tarde)
Mark is going to France next week (Mark va a Francia esta semana)

He is always borrowing money from me (Él siempre me pide dinero prestado)

    RECUERDA:

Algunos verbos normalmente no aparecen en forma progresiva: believe (creer), like (gustar), know (conocer, saber), seem (parecerse), want (querer), understand (comprender), belong (pertenecer), suppose (suponer), forget (olvidar), remember (recordar).

    COMPARA:

Water boils at 100 degrees celsius. The water is boiling. Can you turn it off?
(El agua hierve a 100 grados centesimales) (El agua hierve. ¿Puedes quitarla?)

Excuse me. Do you speak English? Listen! What language is he speaking?
(Perdone. ¿Habla inglés?) (¡Oiga!. ¿En qué idioma está hablando?)

My friend lives in Oxford. My sister´s living with me just now.

I play tennis every Monday Mark´s playing baseball now

The sun rises in the East Look! The sun´s rising.

Temario de Inglés y Ejercicios Complementarios Empty Re: Temario de Inglés y Ejercicios Complementarios

Mensaje por Gustavo Jue Ene 01, 2009 4:50 pm

Unidad 9. Pasado simple y progresivo

    EL PASADO SIMPLE

    Afirmativa

    I / you / he / she / it / we / they worked

    Negativa

    I / you / he / she / it / we / they did not (didn´t) work

    Interrogativa

    Did I / you / he / she / it / we / they work?

    work worked
    dance danced

I worked there last year (Trabajé allí el año pasado)
I didn´t work there last year (No trabajé allí el año pasado)
Did you work there last year? (¿Trabajaste allí el año pasado?)

    * Respuestas cortas: Yes, I did ó No, I didn´t

I wrote a letter yesterday (Ayer escribí una carta)
I didn´t write a letter yesterday (Ayer no escribí una carta)
Did you write a letter yesterday?

    USO

    - acciones y acontecimientos en el pasado

I went to London last year (Fuí a Londres el año pasado)

    - acciones repetidas en el pasado

I went every day for a year (Fuí todos los días durante un año)

I lived there for two years (Viví allí durante dos años)

Susan started her new job two weeks ago (Susan comenzó su nuevo trabajo hace dos años)

I had dinner an hour ago (He cenado hace una hora)

Life was very different a hundred years ago (La vida era muy diferente hace cien años)

    EL PASADO PROGRESIVO

    - Se forma con el pasado del verbo to be y la forma –ing del verbo principal

I was working (Yo estaba trabajando)
I was not (wasn´t) working (Yo no estaba trabajando)
Was I working? (¿Estaba yo trabajando?)

    * Respuesta corta: Yes, I was. ó No, I wasn´t

    We were studying (Estábamos estudiando)
We were not (weren´t) studying (No estábamos estudiando)
    Were we studying? (¿Estábamos estudiando?)

    * Respuesta corta: Yes, we were ó No, we were not

What were you doing yesterday evening? (¿Qué hiciste ayer tarde?)
The other day I was talking to your father (El otro día estuve hablando con tu padre)

I was sleeping when the phone rang (Dormía cuando sonó el teléfono)
I was walking home when I meet Dave (Caminaba hacia casa cuando me encontré con Dave)
Ann was watching television when the phone rang (Ann veía la tele cuando sonó el teléfono)

While his parents were listening to the guide, Pete went upstairs.

As John was walking upstairs, he saw his friend
(Según John subía, vió a su amigo)

What were the people doing when the manager arrived?
